Mercedes-Benz has also produced a limited-production sports car with McLaren Cars, an extension of the collaboration by which Mercedes engines are used by the Team McLaren-Mercedes Formula One racing team, which is part owned by Mercedes. The 2003 Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren has a carbon fibre body with a 5.4-litre V8 supercharged engine. This is the same cylinder block as featured in SL55 AMG and the CLS55 AMG, though modified to give 460 kilowatts (625 PS; 617 bhp) and 780 newton metres (575 ft·lbf) of torque. The SLR has a maximum speed of 337 kilometres per hour (209.4 mph) and costs approximately US$500,000. Due to European pedestrian-protection regulation, McLaren decided to cease production of the SLR in 2009.

2007 Mercedes-Benz SL 65 AMG by MR Car Design

The Mercedes-Benz SL is a roadster manufactured by Mercedes since 1954 Mercedes Benz SL 65 AMG designed by MR Car Design. MR Car Design has squeezed 80 more horsepower out of the pre-facelifted (read better looking) 2007 Mercedes-Benz SL 65 AMG, bringing the total to 692 hp. Additional mods include a lowered suspension, carbon fiber hood and 20 inch wheels. The designation SL derives from the German Sport Leicht, or Sport Light — and was first applied to the 300SL ‘Gullwing’ named also after its gullwing or upward-opening doors.

Pogea Racing has revealed its package for the Audi A7. The Audi A7 Sportback is an executive-class five-door coupe automobile produced by Audi, and is the coupe variant of the 4th generation (C7) Audi A6 whose platform it shares, although unusually for a coupe the A7 was unveiled before the (C7) A6. It was announced at the Pinakothek der Moderne art museum in Munich on 27 July 2010 and débuted at the 2010 Paris Motor Show. The A7 was preceded by a concept car, the Audi Sportback concept shown at the 2009 Detroit Auto Show.[1]. The A7 marked Audi’s return to the executive coupé market since the (C1) Audi 100 Coupe.
